Our goal is to design a treatment plan that results in a healthy and beautiful smile for each of our patients! This starts with your first call to our office and Jennifer, Tiffany, Hailey, or Veronica will help you each step of the way. All of our administrative staff also use office mobile phones for text messaging which is a great way to communicate with us if that is more convenient for you! We manage scheduling via phone, text messaging and email during the course of each patients care.
Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure your orthodontic care is as seamless and organized as possible.
Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Your initial cnosultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete orthodontic exam with Dr. Gibson. Dr. Gibson will guide our staff on your next step, which may include:
- Photographs
- Intraoral video scan (no mold or impressions!)
- Specialized X-rays or a 3D reconstruction of your jaw structure
- Development of a customized treatment plan or additional consultation
- Discussion of all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
- The scheduling sequence to begin orthodontic treatment
- Some patients can begin treatment at their very first appointment. Let us know if you would like to consider this option!
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your initial consultation.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment and Dr. Gibson will place your new orthodontic appliances. This appointment generally takes an hour to an hour and a half, and during this time our team will be available to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. The placement of braces or appliances is painless and easy!
Scheduling Appointments
Contemporary technology, wires and braces allow for greater intervals between appointments which means less visits for you! Our average patient visits our office about every six to nine weeks for an adjustment to their braces and this is an essential part of your orthodontic treatment. Extending the intervals between appointments does not increase your total time in braces, and actually may decrease the length of your treatment due the cellular response this allows. Our practice will work with you to make sure your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know which days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens”! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our scheduling coordinator will assist you. We’re looking forward to working with you!
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is vital that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups, even during your orthodontic treatment. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care.
